We start with two truths: you’re not broken (performance anxiety is human) and “never-nervous” is a myth; the real win is a healthier relationship with nerves. Instead of hacky tips or rigid breath control, we use mindfulness as practical awareness training: notice the surge, allow it, refocus. Short daily lessons pair concept + drill + deliberate exposure and simple feedback loops that make progress visible. Dr. David Lee Fish, Ph.D., helps presenters, artists, and athletes transform anxiety into peak performance through his evidence-based, mindfulness-driven Speak/Perform/Compete with Confidence approach. Having studied under the same Zen master who inspired Jon Kabat-Zinn’s contemporary mindfulness, he combines timeless wisdom with scholarly excellence. The former Catawba College department head and APME co-founder wrote The 5-Day Stage Fright Solution and leads Little School of Fish’s digital programs, mentoring, and in-person training—targeting 10,000+ students annually.

To accelerate growth, Little School of Fish intends to seek outside investment once our three equity partners are on board and we’ve shown early traction through  micro-pilot course enrollments and engagement.

At that stage, our proof of concept will give us the evidence and momentum needed to approach investors confidently and secure a strong pre-money valuation, ensuring that both our partners and the venture are positioned for long-term success.

We’ve gotten quite a bit of feedback on the images we use at LSoF (like the ones you see here), especially from marketing professionals.

Some see them as fresh, engaging, and cartoon-like in a good way. Others feel the opposite.

But in a landscape dominated by Memphis-style flat vectors and the so-called “Corporate Memphis” look, our visuals at least stand out—just as our color scheme cuts through the sea of blue that floods so many websites.

In the end, our CMO and real-world A/B testing will help shape the final GTM look and feel of LSoF.
